
J.J. Clarke, founder and principal of the firm, was a former partner with Trammell Crow Residential for Maryland. He built, managed, financed and sold TCR luxury suburban garden apartments in the Washington and Baltimore markets for the Texas-based developer. From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Clarke was vice president for Corcoran Mullins Jennison, a builder of mixed-income and assisted housing communities. During the Carter Administration, he served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He is a former Deputy Director for the Greater Baltimore Committee and Associate Director for the United Way. He has served as chairman of Maryland’s Housing Policy Commission and he is a former president of the Baltimore Architecture Foundation. He is Chairman of the St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center Board of Directors. Mr. Clarke is an adjunct professor at The Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business teaching graduate students in a Masters in Real Estate program.
